Dinthill Technical fires football coach
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — ISSA/Flow daCosta Cup favorites Dinthill Technical has fired coach Kevin Williams as the team prepares to start their quarterfinal round, OBSERVER ONLINE has being reliably informed.
Everton Burke, a member of the team’s management group confirmed the decision this morning but declined to go into any details. However, he said the separation “had nothing to do with football or his coaching abilities”.
Burke also said they were expecting Williams’ replacement to be with the team as early as this afternoon as they fine tune their preparation for Wednesday’s opening quarterfinal game against Lennon High at the Wembley Centre of Excellence.
The much travelled and experienced Williams who took over the team this season led them to a glittering 12-0 record in the daCosta Cup competition, winning Zone K in the first round and was one of five teams that won all three games in the Inter-zone round.
