Driver in Clarendon crash remanded
CLARENDON, Jamaica — The driver of the bus that was involved in a two-vehicle collision in Vernam Field, Clarendon last Friday was remanded in custody when appeared in the Clarendon Parish Court on Wednesday.
He is Clovis Duncan of Muirhead Avenue, Denbigh in Clarendon.
According to the police, 23 students were injured in the crash — one of them seriously. Duncan fled the scene but later turned himself in to the police.

Duncan is charged with the driving without a driver’s licence; dangerous driving; operating a motor vehicle as a public passenger vehicle without a road licence and; not having public passenger vehicle insurance.
He is scheduled to reappear before the court on Thursday, September 29.
