EOJ says payments to election day workers under way
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Just over a month since the 17th General Election, the Electoral Office of Jamaica on Thursday said it has completed uploading payments to the accounts of all election day workers for whom adequate banking information was provided.
The EOJ said in a news release that the timeframe for payments to be reflected in individual accounts will vary, as the disbursements have been made across various financial institutions.
The EOJ also said it is in the process of printing cheques for workers who were unable to be paid through electronic funds transfer.
EOJ constituency offices islandwide will be open on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, from 10 am to 2:00 pm to facilitate the distribution of cheques, the release said.
