Ethlyn Norton-Coke is dead
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Well-known chartered accountant and attorney-at-law Ethlyn Norton-Coke died today (Friday, May 9). She was 68.
Norton-Coke, who had been ailing for some time, passed at 11:15 am at Medical Associates Hospital in Kingston.
Norton-Coke served at Dunn Cox & Orrett as attorney-at-law, National Housing Trust as legal consultant and Caribbean Cement Company as legal advisor/company secretary.
She also served on a number of boards, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, the Public Accountancy Board, Nuttall Memorial Hospital, the Land Titling Committee in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Advisory Board of Management of the Registrar of Companies, the University Hospital of the West Indies, the National Solid Waste Management, where she was the Chairman for one year and previously served as chair of the Finance Committee.
