Increased rainfall expected across Jamaica on Wednesday

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service says a strong tropical wave is expected to move into the central Caribbean and influence weather conditions across the island on Wednesday.

The Met Service said in a news release Monday that the forecast is for periods of showers and thunderstorms, which could be heavy at times, to affect sections of most parishes throughout the day on Wednesday.

The Meteorological Service said it will continue to monitor the situation.
