JC dismissed early in wake of killing
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — It was a sombre mood at the Jamaica College (JC) campus this morning as the school mourned the gruesome death of 14-year-old Nicholas Francis on Wednesday.
All classes at the have been cancelled for today.
“The teachers are distraught,” a member of the school’s old boy association told OBSERVER ONLINE.
“First I’ve ever seen an auditorium of men crying,” he said.
Minister of education, youth and information, Senator Ruel Ried and immediate JC past principal visited the school this morning.
Francis was yesterday afternoon stabbed and killed during a robbery on a passenger bus in close proximity to the Hope Road school.
