JCF bids adieu to DCP Hinds
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to said farewell to Glenmore Hinds – another member of the police’ high command.
Hinds has served in the rank of deputy commissioner of police for six years, where he headed the Operations Portfolio. He was promoted to the rank on July 1, 2010.
According to Acting Commissioner of Police Novelette Grant, he began his pre-retirement leave on Tuesday.
Grant acknowledged Hinds’ stellar service to the force during a press conference held at the Office of the Police Commissioner on Old Hope Road this morning.
“I also want to thank Deputy Commissioner of Police, Glenmore Hinds who after his 42 years of sterling contribution left on his pre-retirement leave yesterday. He is a familiar face that you’re all used to seeing at this table,” the acting commissioner said.
Last Friday marked the last day of the Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams who went on early retirement after serving just over two years in the post.
