Klansman Tesha Miller to face court today
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Alleged Klansman gang leader Tesha Miller is to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court today to answer to two counts of false declaration.
Miller was charged by the Immigration Investigation Unit last Tuesday following his deportation from Bahamas on April 4.
The reputed gangster was charged following allegations that he left the island using fictitious names. However, the police have reported that there are other matters pending against Miller.
It is expected that Miller’s attorney-at-law Bert Samuels will apply for bail as Miller has been in custody since he was returned to the island early April.
Miller was named as a person of interest last year by Jamaica’s Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch and asked to turn himself in to the authorities, but had ignored repeated calls by the police before he fled the island.
He was asked to report to the police following a spike in murders in the St Catherine North Division, where the Klansman Gang is reportedly engaged in a number of criminal activities.
The police theorised that Miller could assist in their investigation of several murders in Spanish Town and sections of Portmore during the first quarter of 2016.
