Love Lane resident arrested after throwing gun under cellar

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Police seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition during an operation on Love Lane, Kingston CSO on Tuesday. One man was taken into custody.

Charged is 23-year-old Oshane Wilson of Love Lane, Kingston.

Reports from the Central Police are that about 9:45 pm, police were on patrol when they came upon two men. Upon seeing the lawmen, one of the men allegedly pulled an object from his waist, threw it under a cellar and fled the scene. 

He was later accosted and the area was searched, leading the seizure of a 9mm Kel Tec semi-automatic pistol and a magazine containing 6 rounds.

Wilson was subsequently arrested and is scheduled to appear in the Half Way Tree Gun Court on Monday.
