Man presents fake UK passport at NMIA
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Officials at the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) arrested and charged a man at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) on Sunday, for breaches of the Forgery Act.
He has been identified as 41-year-old Horace Joseph of Queensborough Terrace, Golden Acres in St Catherine.
Reports are that about 8:00 pm, Joseph arrived at the NMIA in Kingston from London, England where anomalies discovered during processing by PICA led them to make checks with their counterparts in the United Kingdom. It was subsequently discovered that Joseph purchased the British Passport he presented.
He was subsequently charged for Forgery and Uttering Forged Documents.
He is scheduled to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, September 22.
