Men held for killing JUTC driver face court today

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police have reported that two men charged in connection with the shooting death of 51-year-old Albert Barnes, a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus driver on Tuesday, December 29, will appear before the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court today.

The men – Garfield Walters, 22 years old and George Ballentine, 28 years old, both of Bedward Gardens, Kingston 7 – were charged with murder, illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
