My Big Fat Greek Wedding director visits Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Joel Zwick, director of the highest grossing romantic comedy in the history of film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, is on a one-week visit to Jamaica for the opening night of his play “Cock Tales – Shame on Me”.
The play stars world-renowned Jamaican-born actress Debra Ehrhardt.
A news release from JAMPRO said the director will be making an appearance at their offices in New Kingston at 11:00 am today.
Zwick has a career spanning 40 years, directing, producing and writing films and television features. His credits include classics such as Mork and Mindy, Laverne and Shirley, the Jamie Foxx Show, Family Matters and Full House as well as recent hits like Shake It Up, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Jesse.
The courtesy call to JAMPRO will be to discuss opportunities for Jamaica’s film industry.
Attendees will include:  JAMPRO Board Director, Zachary Harding; JAMPRO President Diane Edwards; JAMPRO Vice President, Robert Scott;  JAMPRO Film Commissioner, Renee Robinson; and Producer Michael Dawson.
