North Street residents concerned about raw sewage in community
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Residents of North Street in Kingston are fearful that the overflow of sewage that has been running through the community for months will seriously affect their health.
“Every time the vehicle dem pass dem splash the people dem. We affi put stone inna di road fi slow them down. Wi caa bath, wi caa flush wi tiolet cause a bare sewage a come up,” one distraught resident told OBSERVER ONLINE today.
The resident also complained about the effect the sewage flow in the vicinity of St Georges College is having on children in the community.
“Every second di pickney dem a scratch,” she said.
