Pakistan thrash Windies in first one-dayer
SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates (AFP) — Pakistan hammered West Indies by 111 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method in the first day-night international in Sharjah on Friday, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Babar Azam’s 120 lifted Pakistan to 284-9 in a match reduced to 49 overs-a-side due to a floodlight failure before bowling out West Indies for 175 in 38.4 overs.
The West Indies needed 287 to win.
