Police increase reward for capture of wanted man
ST ANN, Jamaica — The St Ann police have added J$100,000 to the reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and charge of 50-year-old Brian Forbes, otherwise called ‘QQ’, of Drumily district, St Ann.
The reward being offered now stands at J$300,000.
The police say Forbes is wanted in connection with the April 25, 2015 murder of 15-year-old Amoya Brown and 25-year-old Demari Smith.
Reports from the Claremont police are that about 6:00 am, a dispute developed between Forbes and the two, who were his neighbours.
The dispute was reportedly about noise disturbance.
During the dispute, a machete was used to inflict several chop wounds to Brown and Smith. The police say they died while being treated at hospital and Forbes has been on the run since.
The police are appealing to anyone knowing the Forbes’ whereabouts to call the St Ann’s Bay police at 972-2211, Crime Stop at 311, Kingfish at 811, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
