Police seize M16 rifle in Spanish Town

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — An M16 rifle and several rounds of ammunition was today seized by lawmen during an operation on Oxford Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine. 

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that at about 3:00 pm a premises was searched and the firearm along with sixty 5.56 rounds of ammunition and two magazines were found buried behind an old pit latrine. 

No one was arrested in connection the find.
