Police step up presence in east Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police are today maintaining a strong presence in sections of East Kingston following an incident where gunmen shot and injured a man and firebombed a house along St Georges Road.

Police reports are that on Thursday morning a group of gunmen went to the house and launched the attack against an elderly man at the premises in Rockfort.

“The police since the incident have beefed up their presence in the area,” a senior police from the East Kingston Police Division told the Observer this morning.
