Post and Telecommunication expresses shock at murder of former employee
ST ANN, Jamaica — The Post and Telecommunications Department has expressed shocked at the murder of retired Postmaster Nathlee Hamilton who was brutally killed at her home in Beecher Town, St. Ann on Monday.
In a statement Friday, the Department said Hamilton was “a stalwart of the Department who dedicated 37 years to the Postal Service before retiring in 2008.”
Hamilton had reportedly devoted her time to family and community since her retirement.
“Like so many Jamaicans, the Department uses this opportunity to condemn the murder of Mrs Hamilton and the abduction of her baby grandson from her home. Acts like these only serve to deprive the nation of persons who have contributed to the development of the nation and their families and eat away at what is good and civil in our society,” the statement said.
