Scorpions 157-8 vs Pride as rain intervenes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Scorpions were struggling on 157-8 against Barbados Pride before afternoon rain interrupted play on day two of the Digicel Regional four-day cricket match at Sabina Park.
The Scorpions left-hand opener John Campbell made his third half-century of the season before being dismissed for 60. Number eight batsman Damion Jacobs is the next highest scorer so far with 30.
Off-spinner Kenroy Williams and pacer Kemar Roach have taken 2-16 and 2-24, respectively, for the Pride.
Score: 157-8 (64.5 overs)
On Friday’s opening day no play was possible after rain left the outfield soggy. But action got off to a 10 o’ clock start Saturday morning after Barbados Pride won the toss and asked the visitors to take first strike.
