Sewage problems persist downtown Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Residents of Luke Lane and Charles Street, downtown Kingston are appealing to the authorities to address a major sewage problem which they say is causing health concerns in the community.
Residents say that for months raw sewage has been running heavily along the roadway and despite calls for help they are yet to see the issue being addressed.
” Is for years it stay this way we need them to come and address the problem before we have a outbreak of disease in the area,” said Sonia Ellis, a resident of the area.
She was supported by Paulette Henry who said the issue had left residents frustrated.
