St Vincent man on murder charge to be sentenced for ammo possession
KINGSTOWN, St Vincent (CMC) — A 29-year-old man, who is one of two people charged with the murder of a 10-month-old baby earlier this month, is to re-appear in court on November 19 for sentencing after he pleaded guilty to possession of arms and ammunition.
Ricardo McFee was due to have been sentenced last Friday, one day after he pleaded guilty to possessing 30 rounds of .38 ammunition without a licence and possessing 10 rounds of .38 ammunition without a licence on May 4, this year.
But his sentence was delayed as his attorney Ronald Marks was engaged in another matter before the High Court.
However, when the matter came up on Monday, Marks was still engaged at the High Court and Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias adjourned the sentencing to November 19.
McFee is also charged with possessing a .38 Glock pistol without a licence on May 4, 2016. He pleaded not guilty to the charge last Thursday.
McFee is one of two people charged with the murder of 10-month old Mozarie Lee on October 7. He is also charged with shooting and wounding the baby’s parents, Shelly-Ann Durham, 27, and 39-year-old Mozart Lee, an audio technician.
The baby died shortly after having sustained gunshot wounds to his stomach.
The other person charged with the murder and attempted murder is 45-year-old Martin “Jah Son” James .
