Tax refund services now available at Constant Spring location
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising the public that its tax refund services became accessible at the Constant Spring Revenue Service Centre (RSC) as of last Monday.
This is in addition to the refunds services currently available at the branch in downtown, Kingston.
According to a media release today, TAJ said individuals, including pensioners and other PAYE persons, embassies, institutions claiming withholding tax refunds, pension schemes, financial institutions, companies, schools, government entities, approved organisations and businesses can now conduct their usual refund transactions at the new location.
The locating of refunds operations at the Constant Spring RSC, the TAJ said, is a first step to decentralising the service.
“The long term plan is to expand and make the refunds operations available at other locations island-wide, in order to make it more accessible and convenient for the public,” TAJ said.
The revenue collection entity said dedicated telephone lines are being installed at the Constant Spring RSC and the public will soon be informed of the numbers.
TAJ has also apologised for any inconvenience the relocation may cause, as they continue to re-engineer their business processes for greater efficiency and improved customer service delivery.
Taxpayers are also being reminded that GCT returns, for which refunds are being claimed, must continue to be filed online at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
