Taxi man held with dozens of bullets in food box
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Officers assigned to the Kingston East Division seized 100 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Michael Manley Boulevard in Kingston on Tuesday.
Reports from the Elletson Road police are that about 10:30 pm, the police were on patrol when they signalled the driver of a Nissan AD Wagon to stop. The driver complied and he, along with his vehicle, was searched.
Forty 5.56 rounds of ammunition were found in a food container, while sixty 7.62 rounds were found in the driver’s possession. He was subsequently arrested, however his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
