Two charged for attempting to defraud NHT
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A man and woman were arrested and charged for allegedly using forged documents to conduct business with the National Housing Trust (NHT) on Monday, December 1.
Charged are Daron Taylor of Magil Palms in St Catherine, an employee at Tax Administration Jamaica, and Shaneka Deleon a sales clerk of Nannyville, Kingston.
Reports from the police are that the two visited the NHT office located in Central Village, St Catherine to conduct a transaction when the loans officer noticed a difference between the photograph and Deleon – who had identified herself as Chelsea McKoy.
The police were alerted and a probe was launched into the incident which resulted in the two being arrested and charged.
Both Taylor and Deleon are scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court tomorrow, Friday, December 5.
