Upsurge of bandits on motorcycles in Corporate Area
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police are reporting that there is an upsurge of robberies in the Corporate Area perpetrated by hoodlums riding motorcycles.
An officer at the St Andrew North Division confirmed with OBERSERVER ONLINE Tuesday evening that “robberies involving motorbikes is on the rise and is prominent in the St Andrew North division.”
“They (bike robbers) target the elderly and people they suspect to be uptown and cashy,” the officer said.
In one of the latest incidents a woman was robbed of $130,000 in broad daylight last Thursday in the vicinity of Phil’s Hardware along Constant Spring Road.
