Woman hit by falling post in Ocho Rios bus park hospitalised
ST ANN, Jamaica – A woman was hospitalized in serious but stable condition on Tuesday after she was hit by a falling utility pole in the Ocho Rios bus park.
Reports are that the woman was about to board a car when the pole fell, hitting her in the back. The post then reportedly fell on two taxis that were parked nearby.
It is not clear the post belongs to the Jamaica Public Service or was erected by the St Ann Parish Council; however, people are theorising that the post fell because it had rotted.
