Sting win again in Western Masters League
DEFENDING champions Sting of Anchovy were on the winning trail once again in the Cari-med Western Masters League football competition, when they blanked Moja of Trelawny 7-0 in Wakefield last weekend.
Sting now have two wins from as many starts in this year’s competition. The scorers were Liston Walker (who scored a hat trick), Dave Dixon, Kirk Nelson, Kenneth Gayle and Rudolph Williams who netted one goal each.
In another game, Hanover outscored Mount Salem 5-2. Former national striker Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis notched up three goals, while Winston Anglin and Glenston Clarke had one goal each, and David Mitchell scored twice for Mt Salem.
African Star and Paradise Strikers played to a 2-2 draw, as did Infernal and Disciples. Glendevon beat Oneness 3-0.
