Saturday night vibes party on at the Brewery

Last week it was King Midas. Tonight, it will be western Jamaica’s number one disco, Jah Creation as the Saturday night vibes party continues at the Brewery.

According to the Brewery’s assistant manager, Colin Scarlett, since the inception of the Saturday night vibes party promotion last year, the venue has become one of the best entertainment spots in Montego Bay.

Scarlett said tonight’s party with Jah Creation should be another success.

Dancehall party continues at Margueritaville

The regular Saturday night dance-hall night party continues at Margueritaville, Gloucester Avenue, Montego Bay.

Tonight Fire Links from Miami will entertain from midnight until 3:00 am Sunday. But, before that, Toney Mental will play the present hit songs from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am.

According to entertainment manager at Margaritaville, Robert Howard, the Saturday night parties were originally planned to give visitors to the island a taste of Jamaica’s dancehall music. He said, however, that locals were also finding the parties enjoyable and have been turning up in large numbers.

Shorty’s memorial for Jarrett Park tomorrow

Football fans across western Jamaica are expected to turn out in large numbers at Jarrett Park tomorrow to celebrate the life of Steve “Shorty” Malcolm.

Three football matches are scheduled to be played at Jarrett Park, which includes a Kingston Masters against a Montego Bay Masters game.

The match begins at 3:00 pm. Jah Creation disco will provide music throughout the day.

That’s it for entertainment this weekend. Check this column next week for more entertainment events.
