Skeletal remains found

in Bushy Park

The lower half of a human skeleton was found in a riverbed at Bushy Park, St Catherine on Tuesday.

The Constabulary Communication network reported that at about 4:00 pm, the remains were discovered in the riverbed and the police summoned. It was clad in dark grey pants. The remains were removed for forensic analysis.

Man arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition

Jimmy Hurde, otherwise called “Future Cologne” of Alamanda Avenue, Windsor Heights, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was Wednesday arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

The CCN reported that at about 10:00 pm, a police operation was carried out at Windsor Heights when a house occupied by Hurde was searched and a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol, serial # AB10593 with four rounds of ammunition, was found. He was taken into custody and subsequently charged.

Teenager charged with

murder of ex-boyfriend

Kevin Alcott, 19, was allegedly stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend at Windsor district, Siloah, St Elizabeth Wednesday night.

The woman, Rochelle Clarke, also 19, was subsequently charged.

According to the police, at about 8:35 pm, Alcott and Clarke had an argument during which it is alleged that a knife was used to stab him in the chest and face. He was taken to the Black River Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Clarke later turned herself in to the police.
