Martin Nicholson is Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall’s new GM
MARTIN Nicholson has been appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, replacing Doug Brooks, the upscale resort’s first man at the helm who will now head the luxury chain’s new Las Vegas property.
Nicholson brings broad international experience to the position, including 11 years in the Caribbean. He joins The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, Jamaica directly from Carmel Valley Ranch Resort where he has served as vice president and general manager since 1998. Prior to that, Nicholson was managing director for three years at the five-star Mount Juliet in Ireland.

Nicholson has expressed pleasure at returning to the Caribbean.
“I look forward to working with the ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, Jamaica and the continued success of this beautiful property,” he said. “I plan to take an active role in the community and to help share Jamaica’s rich heritage with the world.”
An Irishman, Nicholson graduated with honours from Shannon College of Hotel Management, in Ireland in 1974. He completed the Advanced Management Program for the Hospitality Industry (AMPHI) at University of Guelph in Ontario in 1986.
Nicholson is married with one college-aged daughter and enjoys sailing, golf and scuba diving.
