Six year old pianist for MoBay charity concert
SIX-year-old pianist from the New England Youth Chamber Ensemble, Noah Gray-Cabey will be the featured soloist at a charity concert in Montego Bay on Wednesday.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Hope Hospice for the Dying, one of the facilities under the Good Shepherd Foundation. The Hospice offers HIV/AIDS patients an environment of dignity and serenity in their final days.
The Montego Bay concert, one of 10 being staged by the US-based NEYCE across the island, will be staged at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral at 7pm. The concerts have been arranged in response to invitations to assist in fundraising efforts for social causes on the island.
Gray-Cabey, who has been performing since age four, has soloed with the Ensemble for two years. During that time, he has made a name for himself as a pianist.
Jamaica’s prolific violinist, nine year-old Jessica Yap, will also be a part of the concert series across the island.
