Homemade Easter Bun
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey (replace with sugar if you do not have any).
3 tablespoons margarine
1 egg
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup beer or stout
2 teaspons mixed spice
vanilla
2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
1 whole nutmeg
fruits, raisins, citron
Browning
Method:
Beat sugar, margarine in beer/stout or a little wine
Add browning to give the buns a dark colour.
Stir
Warm baking tins then grease them; pour batter into tins (Use two bake size tins).
Bake at 350ºF or 177ºC for approximately 11/2 hours.
