Second man charged with Burrell, Eldridge murders
POLICE have arrested and charged a second man with the 1999 murder of Taj Burrell, son of Jamaica Football Federation president, Horace Burrell, and his friend Jason Eldridge.
The police identified the man as Bryan Rankine, 25, alias “Marlon” of Coleyville Avenue, Kingston 20.
Rankine, who was arrested last Thursday in the Kingston Central area, is scheduled to appear in the Half-Way-Tree Criminal Court tomorrow.
Another man, Carl McHargh, had already been arrested and charged with the double murder.
Burrell and Eldridge were shot dead at about 8:00 pm on July 26, 1999 when they went to Northside Plaza in Liguanea, Kingston 6.
