Antonnette Haughton for Disclosure
ATTORNEY-at-law Antonnette Haughton-Cardenas will be the new host of the HOT 102 talk show Disclosure.
Haughton-Cardenas, who will be replacing Bruce Golding, will start hosting the radio programme on Monday, September 1.
Golding, who was brought in to host the talk show last year after Wilmot Perkins took his Perkins On Line programme to Power 106, yesterday told his listeners good-bye at the end of the programme at 2:30.
Haughton-Cardenas, who formerly hosted Hotline on RJR before resigning to form the United People’s Party, yesterday told the Observer that it is the will of God to have her serve her fellowmen.
“I’ve always liked talking to people, I look forward to hosting the show,” she said.
At the same time, Haughton-Cardenas, the mother of a 12 year-old son and who raises other children, told the Observer that she would do the job naturally and spontaneously.
“It’s the same people you talk to; it’s the same issues they raise. I can’t see any difference on talk radio… It’s Jamaican people, anybody who wants to talk to you about whatever it is they want to talk to you about, I can’t imagine that there is any difference. For me, there isn’t. Things are not about labels; they are about service wherever you are… there are no coincidence,” she said.
“I want to be a part of a loving and caring process.”
