Excellence displayed at Observer Table Talk Food Awards
Jamaica’s food industry raised the bar Thursday night with an excellent display of gourmet delights, exotic drinks and fine wines at the seventh annual Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards on the east lawns of historic Devon House in Kingston.
A total of 53 booths showcased more than 1,000 items which were eagerly sampled by hundreds of Jamaicans attending the prestigious event.
A total of 22 awards were presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award going to GraceKennedy and the Observer Chairman’s Award being presented to veteran hotelier Peter Fraser.
GraceKennedy was recognised for its consistency and commitment to high quality and excellence for over 80 years, while Fraser, who is now general manager of Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, was rewarded for his consistent commitment to excellence and high style in the hospitality industry for over 30 years.
