In the Lymelite
Jacqui Sinclair’s ‘Tanqueray Tingle’ was our tipple for the summer, but with fall just around the corner, it looks like it might be time for a new drink. And in its sleek-shaped bottle with refreshing lime taste, and powerful kick, Lymelite might just be it.
“It may look like a girly drink,” says Kristol Jackson, brand manager for Lymelite, “but it still packs a powerful punch, so it is not just for girls, but anyone looking for a convenient, ready-to-drink mixed-drink that tastes great.”
The drink, limeade based, mixed with white rum (not overproof) and a few other secret ingredients, is a versatile cocktail, in that it can be mixed with other liquors for even more of an alcohol fix, but with its eight per cent alcohol content is still considered a significant drink in itself.
“Bottled by CMK Bottling Ltd, the company already produces a number of limeade-based drinks,” Jackson said, “and with a gap in the market for a relatively light, easy-to-drink, alcoholic beverage, we decided to create a drink that would appeal to all.” And so Lymelite was born. Visually, the slim bottle and sparse labelling emit a sophisticated look, easily accessible, especially to women.
Lymelite is available at Loshusan, HiLo, Texaco Star Mart, Esso Tigermart and bars including Medusa, and sells for a suggested retail price of $150.
