Appliance Traders Limited for Bogue City Centre

Appliance Traders Limited, one of the island’s leading suppliers of household and commercial appliances and office supplies, will open its 20,000 square foot superstore at the Bogue City Centre complex come January.

The complex, which is currently under construction, will offer merchandising, warehousing and office space and is set for a January 2008 opening date, according to Coldwell Bankers Jamaica Realty.

“It was important to secure such a well-known household name in the appliance and office business for the Bogue City Centre,” said Andrew Issa of Coldwell Bankers, which will manage the centre. “We have also confirmed a good mix to include, furniture, pharmacy, auto parts, clothing and professional offices,” he noted.

Ideally located adjacent the 1500- unit Bogue Village housing development, the Bogue City centre will form part of the commercial district of the fast-growing residential area, joining other such commercial developments as the Fairview Shopping Centre and the Bogue Industrial Complex.

Office space at the complex will range from 2,500 square feet with 1,500 square feet on the ground floor and 1,000 square feet on the mezzanine level. Issa notes that the team of architects and engineers working on the project ensured that the complex was equipped with the necessary amenities to ensure tenants received the very best in order to enhance their businesses.

The centre will also offer a new look – a combination of glass, columns and natural light and will be easily accessible to vehicle traffic with adequate parking facilities.

With a total of 74,000 square feet, Issa said the complex is expected to have 100 per cent occupancy by January 2008. “It’s a great location to open a second location or a branch, I am very optimistic about the future of Montego Bay and I expect it to lead the country in growth over the next few years,” he noted.

Bogue is fast becoming Montego Bay’s newest business hub and Issa hopes this new centre will attract a great mix of businesses, professionals and retail along with storage and small services. The complex will be offering back-up generator power and 24-four hour security.
