BOUNTY HALL, Trelawny – Newly reappointed Village United coach Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis will get a first-hand view of his charges this afternoon when the Digicel Premier League club defends their Trelawny FA Knockout title against Duanvale FC at Bounty Hall.
Village will be seeking their fifth straight title after blanking Upsetter 5-0 in the semi-finals on Sunday.
Omar Allen scored a hat-trick for Village United while Preston Corporal and Jonathon Yahmoa scored the other goals after Village had beaten Exidus 3-0 in the previous round.
Despite starting the game as the underdogs, Duanvale have already secured a place in the first round of the Jamaica Football Federation’s (JFF) all-island knockout after beating Clarks Town 2-1 in the semi-final also on Sunday.
With Village already assured of a place in the main draw of the all-island competition, the next best-placed Major League team will join them.
