JPS netball competitions start Saturday

MONTEGO BAY, St James

Three netball competitions across three parishes, all sponsored by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPSCo), will get underway with a joint opening ceremony this Saturday at the Montego Bay Cricket Club starting at 10:00 am.

An expected total of 28 teams from the St James Intermediate League, the Hanover Open League and the Westmoreland Super League are expected to take part in the opening rally and dress parade.

Jamaica Netball Association’s (JNA) president Marva Bernard will be the guest speaker at the opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, the St James Netball Association’s Junior League kicked off last weekend with six teams taking part in the opening rally.

Classic of Trelawny won the rally while ACE was adjudged the best dressed team.
