Trial of reputed gang leader starts today
THE murder trial of reputed Klansman gang leader Tesha Miller has been rescheduled for today.
The matter was set to begin in the Home Circuit Court yesterday but was postponed to allow the prosecution time to fully prepare itself.
Jurors were selected yesterday.
Miller, 27, is charged with the April 7, 2004 murder of Robert Haughton on St John’s Road in Spanish Town.
The prosecution will be proceeding with the case under Section 31 of the Evidence Amendment Act, as its sole witness – a taxi driver – was murdered after giving a statement to the police.
