I’m in charge of everything – Maroon colonel
ACCOMPONG Town – Newly elected colonel of the Accompong maroons, Inspector Ferron Williams is reminding the public that former council executives are unauthorised to undertake any monetary or legal transactions on behalf of his people.
The maroon colonel was reacting to allegations that a former high-ranking council executive who is no longer legally attached to any council or organisation in the Accompong leadership continues to conduct transactions on behalf of the Maroons.
“The colonel is Ferron Williams and the deputy is Norma Rowe Edwards and any information, be it printed or electronic, should not be done by any other person than the colonel or the deputy,” Williams told the Observer West yesterday. “There are other council executives but they cannot speak for or on behalf of the Accompong or sign documents”.
Williams further informed that any entity “involved with transaction of any money which is duly owed to the Accompong Maroon, that organisation or institution will still have to honour the obligation owed to the Maroons.”
Williams trumped his competitors to become colonel with a landslide victory at the polls in August.
