Cody on the move…
Five-year-old Cody Tulsie tries out his new wheelchair, which was presented to him by the Never Quit Parents Support Group.
The wheelchair was won by a member of the Never Quit Parents Support Group during a radio programme hosted by Maia Chung, founder of the Autism and Disabilities Foundation.
The chair will now enable Cody, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and has problems walking and standing, to attend school. The Never Quit Parents Support Group was founded in February 2008 for the benefit of children with special needs.
The group, which meets at the Cornwall Regional Hospital every third Thursday, also seeks to enhance the communication link between parents and children who face challenges in terms of language difficulties as speech therapy is a scarce and expensive commodity.
