Celebs Talk Tech
It’s 2010 and here’s your chance to make this your best year yet. And that includes taking advantage of all the über cool tech gadgets and gizmos available to you. To kick things off, Thursday Tech spoke to some local celebs to find out their IT-must-haves and their online habits.
Tarrus Riley
We found the reggae crooner fuming about his malfunctioning BlackBerry, but he admits that he can’t live without it. “I use BlackBerry Messenger all the time,” he shares. “It helps me stay in touch.”
Konshenz
“My tech essential for 2010 is my BlackBerry, which is great for business and pleasure,” the young singjay shares. “I’m also a huge Facebook fan and it’s just the same that it’s synchronised on my phone.”
Ce’Cile
“I love gossip like anybody else,” says Ce’Cile who constantly uploads all the gossip blogs. “You’ll find me on Media Take Out and Facebook, Twitter and Blitz.”
Alaine
The songbird spends a lot of time on Twitter, but she’s a self-professed Google addict.
“I’m usually ‘googling’… whether it’s how to spell a word or looking up dream interpretations.”
Craig of Voice Mail
“BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is my ultimate software… I cannot put down my BlackBerry Javeline,” Craig says. “I’ve never really been an Internet Peggy (his term for someone who frequently uses the Internet), but BBM helps me to stay in touch with my band mates and my family.”
Tifa
Dancehall young’un Tifa is clearly obsessed with her inbox. “Every day I use email to keep in touch with my loved ones and show promoters overseas. I’m also quite anal about clearing my junk mail.”
