Ellen DeGeneres gets sneak preview of Universal’s Harry Potter theme park

Ellen DeGeneres got in touch with her inner child as she was given a sneak preview of the new Harry Potter theme park, which is due to open in Florida in less than three months.

Filming for her US television programme, the chat show host was given exclusive access to the 20-acre park along with two young boys, Alex and Nicholas.

Up until now, fans have had to make do with artists’ impressions of what the theme park will look like, but now Pottermaniacs can get a glimpse of the real thing.

Ellen and the boys wandered through the empty theme park, taking turns to ride a high-speed roller coaster themed after the Triwizard Tournament.

The trio were also pictured nosing around Dumbledore’s den, which comes complete with a dusty desk, walls covered in oil paintings and shelves filled with hundreds of books. Ellen jokes with the boys as they explain various aspects of the Harry Potter experience to her.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which opens on 18 June, will be a new addition to the Universal Orlando theme park.

The new attraction has been in development for almost three years when Universal announced that it had acquired the rights to representing the franchise from Warner Brothers and JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series.

Grown-up night out for Suri… apart from the pink piggy slippers

Suri Cruise has modelled every outfit from high heels to fairy wings when out with her doting parents Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise.

And on Friday night she grabbed the attention of photographers again stepping out (or at least being carried) in pink, fluffy pig slippers and what seemed to be a nightdress.

The world’s most famous toddler was out to take in dinner and a show with her mum and wasn’t the only one looking ready for bed — Katie also looked quite exhausted.

Fashion-forward Suri first enjoyed a meal at the stylish Alice Tea Cup in New York before heading to the Winter Garden Theatre to see Mamma Mia.

But Katie Holmes was obviously expecting her daughter to get tired during the evening and seemed to be prepared accordingly with a blanket and pink soft toy for Suri.

The mini star seemed happy to be cradled in her mum’s arms stealing the show with her fluffy footwear and long dress decorated with pink and purple stars. The strange evening attire is just the latest in a string of outfits that has had the world cooing over the adorable toddler.

Ahoy Zuma! Gwen Stefani dresses baby son in sailor romper for shopping trip in LA

He may be just 18-months-old, but for Gwen Stefani, that’s no excuse for son Zuma not to be on trend.

The singer had dressed her youngest child in a striped sailor-style romper for the outing, complete with white collar and red bow at the neck.

The look was completed by white plimsolls and yellow-and-white striped socks pulled up over his knees.

The 40-year-old mother-of-two, who is married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, appeared to have co-ordinated with her son’s red bow in the shape of a scarlet lace bra, visible under her low-cut grey top, and her signature bright lipstick.

Zuma, who was blissfully ignorant of the bizarre ensemble which may well cause him embarrassment in years to come, appeared to be having a ball with his glamorous mother, at one point giggling as she held him up to see the view.
