‘Hair’ are the Stars!

Under the Dryer

Ever wondered why your favourite celebs’ hair always looks so fly (and no, we’re not talking about airbrushing)? It’s because they all know exactly what their hair needs and what products to use to achieve that über glam look, or at least their stylists do.

Under the Dryer has a stylish collection of your favourite young starlets who share their must-have hair products and tips. Enjoy!

Blake Lively

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively was very happy to dish out the ‘deets’ (details) on her favourite haircare line. She says she simply can’t do without “any Kerastacé hair product” because that line of products works best for her hair. (source: cosmopolitan.com)

Zoë Saldana

One of the hottest actresses this year, Zoë Saldana isn’t just known for her blockbuster roles in Star Trek and Avatar, but also for her fresh face and beautiful hair. She usually gets her hair done by TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist Mara Roszak who uses TRESemmé Naturals Lightweight Mousse and TRESemmé TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray for an “organic effortless look” which she says is great for people with naturally curly hair like Zoë’s. Miley Cyrus

We love Miley’s voluminous, healthy-looking waves and she loves them too. Her secret? She swears by “any type of beach spray…something that gives the sexy, chill, beachy vibe” she’s so well-known for. We think it’s a great hair look for any occasion. (source: peoplestylewatch.com)

Selena Gomez

Selena might play a witch on hit TV series Wizards of Waverly Place, but her hair looks nothing like the typical straggly tresses you would find on a witch’s head. In an interview with Seventeen magazine the teen star gushed, “I love Ted Gibson’s hairspray as a go-to. It’s really tiny and fits in my purse because it’s very light. It’s not so thick and it doesn’t make my hair flaky. I carry that and a comb so I can tease my hair a little in the restroom wherever I’m at.” (source: Seventeen.com)

Raine Seville

Daseca’s first lady Loraine ‘Raine’ Seville always wears her hair short and cute with the occasional pops of colour to represent her edgy side. When we asked about her hair secrets, she was eager to share her haircare tips with us. Raine uses Dark & Lovely Hair Relaxer, but Fantasia IC Hair Polisher, a daily hair treatment that keeps her hair healthy and shiny, is her must-have product. Plus, she absolutely loves her ceramic flat iron, which she takes with her whenever she travels.

Kris Kelli

We love Kris Kelli’s glamorous pixie cut, but she says without TRESsemmé Curl Care Mousse, Motions Natural Therapy Hair and Scalp Oil and Hawaiian Silky hair relaxer, her hair just would not be the same… though she sometimes opts for Mizani Butter Blend Hair Crème, a relaxer she says is “also very nice”.

Tifa

Not only is Tifa one of the “b-a-d-d-e-s-t” in dancehall, she also knows exactly what products keep her fab. When it comes to her hair, she was quick to ‘spell it out’ for us, and The Dr Miracle line of products does it for this ‘certified diva’ every time. We can certainly see why!

Stacious

Dancehall hottie Stacious always has her hairstyles on and poppin’… so how does she keep her hair looking great? She uses Olive Oil Relaxer Kit by Organic Root Stimulator and never leaves out her Bioinfusion Shine Serum by the same hair care line, but if she’s wearing her hair straight, her ceramic flat iron is her best friend, naturally. We love Stacious’ look whether its curly, wavy or straight because one thing is for sure… it’s always HOT!

Tami Chynn

We’ve all been ‘hyperventilating’ about Tami’s awesome sense of style since she burst onto the scene and we love how she likes to change things up, especially her hair. Every woman knows that if you change your hair colour often, you must take very good care of it and Tami definitely knows all about that. She says washing your hair every day strips it of the essential oils that it needs, and also mentioned that her sleek tresses look better when they’re a little dirty… which is always a plus, and Privé Hair Pomade is a must in her haircare regime. She even threw in some of her hot summer products for us, like The Body Shop’s Brazil Nut Body Butter, MAC Golden Bronze Face & Body Bronzer and Neutrogena’s Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sun block…all of which help to keep her looking fabulous.

Nadia Stanley

‘Stanley’ usually wears her hair in a chic, face-flattering bob that looks very well-cared for, though she claims not to know much about haircare. Nadia believes that when it comes to hair less is more, as using too many products makes hair heavy and hair sprays dry your hair out. She also tries to stick to the natural products recommended by mom and grandma like castor oil and olive oil, which she uses to deep-treat her hair when necessary. She does, however, swear by Biosilk Hair Serum which adds some sheen to her bouncy mane, but says the real secret is in the cut… as her hair falls easily into place and ‘keeps the bounce going’ due to its shape.

Sounds like she’s got it all figured out, doesn’t it?
