Cocktails With… Tamille Braithwaite
Architectural engineer-turned-construction manager Tamille Braithwaite is just as comfortable in a hardhat and boots as she is in trendy clothes and heels. The lovely 20-something-year-old who just moved back from Florida to enjoy life on The Rock is chilling inside the Star Lounge at Fiction, where she’s all smiles, personality and positive energy.
What are you sipping?
Jack Daniels and Coke… I’m not really a heavy drinker, usually one cocktail and I’m good.
What kind of mood are you in?
I’m spritely…always very preppy.
Socialite or homebody?
I’m a bit of both, to be honest.
TV or a good book?
TV, definitely.
What are you watching?
Entourage, Iconoclasts, Hell’s Kitchen… lots of Discovery and TLC.
Flats or stilettos?
To be honest, I’m somewhere in-between, whichever goes with my outfit. For work sites though, it’s Timberlands.
What’s your style?
I’m so all about trendy…every day I’m about whatever is in.
What’s in your clutch?
My purse, my BlackBerry, I’m also a singer, too, so Strepsils are a must; my keys, usually several tubes of lipgloss and sanitary wipes.
Who does your hair?
Vonessa’s at Millbrook Plaza, Constant Spring Road.
Who does your nails?
I just moved back to Jamaica a month ago so I can’t say I have anyone here yet.
What perfume are you spraying?
Incidence by Yves De Sistelle.
When you’re not at work, where’s the best place to find you?
Hanging out with my friends at their houses.
What’s your idea of the perfect date?
Good food is a must, but there has to also be an element of adventure… something fun like paintballing or zip-lining that ends with dinner.
What’s your idea of the perfect man?
One who is well kept, he must be very intelligent and athletic.
What’s on your iPod?
I’m into music so I’ll listen to any and everything, except Heavy Metal. On my iPod you’ll find from Coldplay to Prodigy, Jay-Z to Celine Dion.
What’s your latest obsession?
I don’t usually obsess, even though I’m artistic; I have a technical mind so I really don’t get carried away with anything.
Who or what inspires you?
Music for sure… it puts me in a different zone.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
I’m usually the one giving the advice (laughs) but I’d say it’s ‘Live and love’.
What projects are you currently working on?
I’m about to start working with the CCC Group Jamaica, and settling in fully after moving back.
And 10 years from now?
Full management position, husband, kids…making it happen! Also, I’ll still be singing on the side and would hopefully be pursuing another of my passions — interior decorating.
