Maxfield Ave woman killed in car crash
Driver fled scene
A woman identified only as ‘Maxine’ of a Maxfield Avenue, Kingston 13 address, died from injuries she received in a motor crash on the Luana main road in St Elizabeth yesterday.
Reports from the Black River Police are that about 2:30 pm, ‘Maxine’ was among eight passengers in a white van heading towards Middle Quarters. The driver of the van was reportedly descending a hill when he lost control of the vehicle, which hit an embankment and overturned.
‘Maxine’ received injuries to her head and was taken to the Black River Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Black River Police, who are investigating, are seeking the driver of the van, who fled the scene.
