Good job, Observer
Dear Editor,
Allow me to commend you on your fine publication. Each day I buy an Observer and a Gleaner to find out what is happening in Jamaica.
When I read your paper I get a quick feel for what is going on in the country. When I read the Gleaner I do not get a balanced view.
Last week was a classic example. Yendi Phillipps did well in Miss Universe, our athletes are doing well in track and field, a dengue fever outbreak is spreading, crime is down, but every day all the Gleaner could report was about Manatt, Phelps & Phillips.
Instead of reporting the news the Gleaner is trying to make the news.
Many Jamaicans like myself are tired of the politics. I have decided that I will no longer buy the Gleaner.
