Harbour View oppose Charlotte Eagles tomorrow
Digicel Premier League champions Harbour View will play United Soccer League (USL) franchise, The Charlotte Eagles in a friendly game tomorrow at the Compound starting at 7:00 pm.
The two-week tour opener will be the first in a series of games islandwide for the touring Eagles.
They will then tackle a Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) All-Stars team next Tuesday at the Waterhouse Mini-Stadium starting at 5:00 pm.
Baris Johnson, head coach of premier league outfit Waterhouse and football director of Global Soccer Ministries (GSM), will coach the KSAFA All-Stars aggregation.
The Charlotte Eagles are regarded as the most successful Carolina franchise and began to play in USL franchise league in 1993.
The Eagles are an American professional soccer team based in Charlotte, North Carolina and were founded in 1991.
They compete in the Second Division of the United Soccer League, which consists of 10 teams across the East Coast and the Caribbean.
Entering their 18th season in the USL, the Eagles are owned and operated by Missionary Athletes International with a vision to do sports ministry through the platform of soccer.
They have made the playoffs 15 of the last 17 seasons, making seven trips to the National Championship and winning two USL-2 National Championships in 2000 and 2005.
