Best Transfers of the summer
Which players have been the best buys is a question now asked by many. At the beginning of each transfer window many wait in anticipation to see what will transpire and who their respectful clubs will buy. Today, TEENage has decided to give you the 10 biggest moves of the summer, enjoy.
David Villa: Possibly the best move of the summer, the former Valencia hit-man completed his move to Barcelona and will add more fire-power to an already explosive Barcelona team.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: A proven Serie A goal-scorer, Ibrahimovic will return to his backyard to play. He will certainly improve an old Milan side and will be eager to get the Barcelona nightmare behind him.
Robinho: As one of the world’s greatest talents, he failed to up his game when it was demanded of him in England and can possibly be considered a flop. He, like Zlatan, will only improve Milan and he should begin to look like the player he was at Madrid as Serie A is not as demanding physically as the Premiership.
David Silva: The talented winger will now ply his trade at money boys Manchester City. He’ll take with him trickery to the Premiership where he’ll no doubt want to justify his price tag and help City’s push for a Champions League spot.
Yaya Toure: Another City signing, Yaya will add some steel to City’s midfield as well as the know-how in winning championships.
Javier Mascherano: The bustling midfielder will be a like-for-like replacement for Yaya who Barcelona sold to Manchester City and might turn out to be the final piece to the Catalan club’s puzzle.
Mesut Oezil: A revelation to many at this year’s World Cup but this talented youngster was proving his worth long before. No doubt a star in the making it remains to be seen if his progress will continue as he faces competition for places from the likes of Ronaldo, Di Maria and whole host of other stars.
Mario Balotelli: This talented yet “unstable” youngster will once again link up with former mentor Roberto Mancini at City where great things are still expected despite his prior failings.
Yoann Gourcuff: A wise, yet expensive investment, by Lyon, Gourcuff spent two impressive years at Bordeaux and will be looking to replicate that form.
Milos Krasic: The talented Serbian attacker only ever wanted to join Juventus and got his wish. He will ‘hands down’ add needed quality to a woeful Old Lady midfield and try to fire them into Champions League qualification for next season.
